If famous people could be revived for just a few minutes

· Sai Skanda

This is probably weird, but I once thought of this many years ago - If I could revive Alan Turing for just a few minutes, what would I want to show him?

With Turing, the answer is probably simple, show any modern electronic device. A smartphone, laptop anything. Any gadget should surprise him and fill him with awe… To top it off mention briefly about how he was partly responsible for the modern world and he should be one happy person!

What if I could revive Gaudi for a few minutes? Obviously show him the current state of the Sagrada familia! I don’t know if he will be surprised that we are still in the process of constructing it almost a century after he had left. But he should be happy on how dedicated his successors are on continuing it and it’s almost complete state now.

Ok what about Steve Jobs? If I were to revive him for a few minutes to show him something. This personally has been confusing to me. I have a hunch that he wouldn’t be overly impressed with what Apple is doing these days. He would definitely be impressed at the size and scale in terms of money and technology but maybe, just maybe not very happy with the progression. So for Steve, I think I would skip a gadget and show him the fully constructed new Apple HQ that he could not see before he left.

Vincent Van Gogh! How did I forget to include him in the first draft of this post? Was watching a video of this exact premise on youtube recently (I had this on my watch later list for more than a year now!)

Here is the video

I would probably do the same, Obviously anyone who revives him would want to show him all the influence he has had on the modern world. The side note here being I myself have not seen any of his work in real life 😅

TBC…
